2nd Zoo Attempt: Success!!!

Friday, we decided to try the zoo again!
It was a perfect weather day and the 13 kids were close to perfect the whole day too!!!

Our Boy Team is lacking in numbers even with William in his stroller.....Whitney and Carly were in their stroller so they aren't in the picture and Baby Cousin Chesnut due in August is a GIRL!!!!!

The 8 year olds got to sit alone on the train ride!!!

 Prairie dog tunnel.....

Feeding the goats....

For the last bit of the trip, Whitney was my favorite child!!!!

Whit woke up from her nap just in time to visit with the Great Grandparents....All 4 of Justin's grandparents live in the same assisted living facility in Boone.

A quick stop at DQ(first Mint Oreo Blizzard of the summer) and some playing at Morgan's finished out the afternoon.

The best part of  Kaylee's day was LOSING HER FIRST TOOTH!!!!!
Her two bottom front teeth have been loose for WEEKS.....she hasn't wanted to mess with them too much. We have been encouraging/harassing her about pulling them since the adult teeth have already started to come up behind them.  I sure hope the other ones comes out soon and we don't need to pay too much later to get the adults ones straightened out!

It finally came out when they were running to the car to get in after playing at their cousin's house.  It was windy and between the wind pushing the door open and Macy's elbow it fell out!
The week ended with a sleepover....Chesnut cousins in Boone and Hannah joined Eliza in Ames.
We headed back to MN this morning to meet Daddy at the airport.  He is now safely in the US and swimming with the girls outside.  We are so glad he is back with us--just hope he can stay up as late as the girls tonight!
Tomorrow, our North Platte cousins start to arrive.  W
e have week with them before we head to Okoboji with the Chesnut crew.

Life is Good when you know you get to see your cousins again soon!!!

Fun Day in Ames

Wednesday, was a day in Boone...We were at the park and the pool----Forgot to take my camera so you will just have to imagine the fun we had!!!!  The highlight of the day for the 2 Bigs was they passed the swim test so they could do the slide and diving board!!!

Thursday we spent the day in Ames.

We started with bowling at Perfect Games....

 She got 8!!!!!

Macy and her coach

Only 3, but she doesn't seem to mind!!!

She got 8 too.....Kaylee and Hannah didn't always get the same score...There were a few times we had some issues of excitement/bragging and pouting!
Not exactly sure how we got so lucky, but the 2 Bigs got the same final score......
I wish I could tell you that Grandma and I bowled poorly on purpose so the girls wouldn't feel bad.....BUT...We are just bag and probably could have benefited from the bumpers!!!!

After bowling, Grandma took the girls to Monsters University while Whit napped and I shopped on Main Street.  I found a fun fabric store and bought quite a bit to take back to Malaysia!!!!!!

After some playing at our cousins' house, we headed to Hickory Park for dinner before bible school.

Life is Good with bowling, movies, fabric and yummy HP food!!!!!

Princess Party

One of the Christmas gifts the girls got from G and G last year was a trunk of dress up clothes.  Along with it was a Princess Party to be scheduled this summer.  Grandma bought the truck and party from an auction in town and the party was to be hosted by one of her crafty friends.

The girls picked out their outfits before we headed up town to the party......
Macy was the Popstar with all her Princess friends.....

Grandma's friend takes what some may call trash and turns it into a new treasure.....

A few of Grandma's teacher friends helped with the party.....
There was a hairstylist, dance teacher and dessert maker!

Whitney was on her best behavior at drop off and Grandma thought she should stay too.....
She was very tired when we came to pick the girls up!!!

They performed their dance for us.....

Barbie doll photo session:

Princess Pastries....

Life is Good when you can share a fun, unique day with your princess friends!

Bengtson Cousin Camp 2013

I haven't posted in about a week......It isn't because we haven't done anything--actually the complete opposite!  On Sunday, the girls and I headed down to Boone to spend the week with Justin's family.

Sunday I was able to enjoy a kid free meal with the ladies of the family at the Cafe in Ames.  The Bigs were at bible school at their cousin Morgan's church and Whit was hanging out with G and G.

Monday, we headed to Des Monies to visit the zoo-------the rain changed our plans for us and we ended up at the Science Center of Iowa.  We had never been and the girls and ALL of their Bengtson(Justin's mom  side) cousins enjoyed it.

Next summer we may need matching t shirts for all of the kids.......
...13 kids, 8 and under---next summer we will have one more since Morgan will be a big sister in August.

 Snack time............

The threat of afternoon storms cut our visit a bit short, but we made the best of it.  We went through the Jimmy John's drive through and had an indoor picnic in Altoona.

It was a very fun first day of our week long Cousin Camp.

Life is Good with Cousins!!!!
