New Favorite.....Again!!!

I think every time I work with a new fabric or try a new pattern it is my favorite....at least of a little while.

This one is like a 2 for 1 deal---new favorite fabric and pattern!!!

A few weeks ago, I was browsing through Etsy and found a cute bag.  It looked similar to a pattern I had done but with tweaked handles.  It also had a fun Chevron fabric similar to one I had used on a panel for a bag.  I put it in the back of my mind to make someday...........I even got online to search for more Chevron fabric!
Then, a few days ago, a very crafty friend posted a pic of the same bag..........I took it as a sign that I needed to make one and got back online and ordered the fabric.

When we got back from soccer practice last night, I had a nice little surprise on my doorstep!!!!
I put the girls to bed, Justin came home from a dinner meeting and chatted with me while
I "whipped" up a new bag!!!

Ta Da...........

Hoping to get a few more done before my craft show this weekend.  The best part is the sash can be removed and replaced with a different color!!!!

Life is a Good with something new.........and cute!!!!

25,000 Giveaway

We had a wild and crazy Friday night........We ate dinner at Costco and then J took the Biggest and the Littlest shopping.  I took the Middles over to JoAnn's.

While there I found this fun purple fabric for a custom order.

I liked it so much that when Kaylee and I went back on Sunday(yes, I have a problem with going to JoAnn's) I got more to make a purse.

I have enough left over to make either another purse or a knot dress, so I decided to celebrate 25,000 pageviews I would have a giveaway.

Here's the prize:
A purse like the above picture or a knot dress of your size choice.

Sunday Spa Day

What do you do when you want a lazy Sunday,
but don't want your kids to sit in front of the TV all day?!?!?!
SPA DAY!!!!!!

We mixed up some Bathtub Paint:
1/3 cup baby shampoo--I did 20 squirts
1 Tablespoon Cornstartch
Food Coloring
Mix together

I am not a baker so we don't use food coloring very often.  Maybe this has been around for awhile, but I found gel food coloring today.  It was great-----not messy and gave the paint a very bright color.

Ready for a soak in the tub!
I am on a new laundry system----do loads all week and fold everything when I get a chance!

 Manicures and Pedicures

The girls spent about an hour and a half in the tub and taking a shower afterward---plenty of time for me to fold everything.
We had the nail salon open for about a half hour so we filled a few hours with some fun, cheap entertainment.

Happy Fall

For Kindergarten, Kaylee needed to find signs of Fall last week and our front porch has quite a few......

.....Straw, Corn Stalks, Mums and Pumpkins!!!!!
We've never decorated with all of these things before, but I went to Rita's Backyard after a neighbor mentioned it and it was very reasonably priced.
1 Large and 1 Small Straw Bale
2 9 inch Mums
1 Corn Stalk
4 Pumpkins
All for just under $42.
I have driven by a million times and always wondered about what they had--now I wish I had done it years ago. If you live in the area I would suggest stopping in.
The best part was the 4 different sizes of pumpkins.  Macy loved picking one out for each of her sisters and herself.
