6 and Loving It!!!!!

Hannah has been very excited about turning 6 for at least the last 6 months!!!! The night before her birthday we went to the nail salon for a girls' night out.

Kaylee and Macy were very excited to wake Hannah up with the surprise balloons we got the day before. We had to hide them in my closet so she wouldn't see them and no one spilled the beans about getting them!!!!!

Our friend, Erin, put the 6 on Hannah's shirt and she was thrilled to get to wear it to school!!!

The perfect birthday breakfast for the birthday girl and her pregnant mommy!!!!

She wanted "a scooter with only 2 wheels and a helmet without characters"!!!!!

She couldn't wait to make some bracelets from a kit she got as a gift. It was a great sister activity too!!!!

Warmer Weather

We are hoping the rain will go away for good one of these days and warmer temperatures will come and stay!!! One of the things that we love about our new house is the screened-in back porch. When house hunting in early November we had coffee out back and really fell in love with the idea of living here. We've had a few meals outside already and the girls have done some messy art projects out there. We don't love the boring orange/brown color of the cushions............and we didn't want to spend a lot to get new ones.

A few years ago, I got some colorful flower pots at Kohl's, and at a recent trip to JoAnn's I found some fabric that would coordinate well with them. I think the pots and new pillows helped brighten up the porch a lot!

With this odd weather it has been tough to decide what to dress the girls in each day. Pants or capris for morning, but then shorts are needed for the afternoon. I feel like I am doing laundry all the time even without two outfits a day!!! I am hoping soon the girls will be able to wear these colorful summer dresses!!!!!

Through the Eyes of a 4 Year Old

Loving, Sweet, Caring, Kind, Shy and Thoughtful are just a few words to describe Kaylee. She loves playing with her baby dolls and is always the Mommy when playing house. She looks up to her big sister and wants to help out her little one whenever she can. She is the first to give out hugs and make sure everyone is ok. She is a bit shy around new people or situations, but once she is comfortable she is a nonstop talker!!!!! She sleeps on our floor in a sleeping bag and I get a bit frustrated with it. However, waking up and seeing her sound asleep right away in the morning brings a smile to my face. Hopefully, the new bunk beds we have ordered for Kay and Macy will help with this!!!! She has a great memory and remembers the sweetest things. She is very excited that she will be 4 and a half on Thursday!

One of her new favorite things to do is use my camera. Sometimes she asks and a few times she has done it and I just find fun pictures later. Here is what she captured the other day!!!

We love our teachers!!!!

I loved being a teacher for 4 years. In those 4 years I received many "teacher" ornaments, pencils, mugs, etc. When Hannah began school I vowed I would never give a gift that belonged in the category of typical teacher gifts or said anything like "#1 Teacher"!!!! A few weeks ago, I decided I would make a bag for each teacher----between the 3 girls we have 6 teachers. When I found out Macy's Child's Day Out class was over a week earlier than Kaylee's preschool, I went into "sweatshop mode" to get everything done. I went to Hobby Lobby and they had many new fabrics I hadn't seen before so I stocked up.

One day I cut out the fabric and interfacing.

The next day I started sewing. I have made this bag enough so I didn't need to consult the pattern or measure every little step. I was able to get each bag done fairly quick and the girls loved that I was making something for their teachers. Each new one I got done they wanted to give that one to their teacher. Once all the bags were done they did finalize their decision on which one went to which teacher.

If you need a new bag for summer let me know............

I got in such a groove I couldn't stop myself at 6!!!!

Life is Good and we appreciate all the hardwork our teachers do!!!!

Off to China!!!!!

No...................we are not taking a trip to China---I wish we were--, but some Sew Sassy Sweetpeas is!!!! We have some college friends living in China and their little girl will be modeling some SSS this summer and fall.

I just love this fabric for fall. I bought enough so I could make the girls blue pants with a brown ruffle. I made sure to get extra so baby sister could have a matching pair or baby brother could have a blanket to coordinate.

A must have for summer...........The Scrappy Twirl Skirt from a pattern by Posh Petunia.

The girls wore theirs yesterday and got many smiles and compliments.

We are what I like to call "The Cute Freak Show." We get comments like:

Oh, 3 girls...Daddy you sure are out numbered!

Matching outfits.....Cute!!!

Two Blondies and a Red Head!

Are they twins!?!?!

Are they triplets?!?!?

when all 3 are in the double stroller with the sit and stand on the back

You have your hands ful--Ha Ha Ha!!!..........Just wait until August!!!!

Oh.................the money you will spend on weddings!!!!!

I think the girls were taking notes while watching the Royal Wedding on their Princess blanket!!! Daddy is the one who turned it on for them to see, so I guess whatever ideas they have in 20 years are his fault!!!

Life is Good!!!!
